Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Kaiser Physical Therapy, your day-to-day activities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities and relieving pain, in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure proper adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic testing of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Assessing client environments and making recommendations that enhance rehabilitation and promote independence.
• Administering therapeutic modalities, such as manual exercises, traction, and massage, while consulting with clients on their therapeutic regimen.
• Evoking and monitoring the use of assistive devices including orthotics and prosthetics, ensuring they meet the clients' needs.
• Documenting evaluations, care plans, and progress notes accurately, and collaborating in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and reassess client care strategies.
• Providing education and guidance to clients and families regarding therapy processes and necessary equipment.
• Staying engaged with clients, family members, and healthcare teams to foster a collaborative approach to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgical procedures, individuals with chronic conditions, and clients adapting to physical limitations. Your role is pivotal in tailoring interventions that not only address immediate rehabilitation needs but also enhance overall wellness and independence.

Qualifications

We require candidates to possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license along with automobile insurance coverage.
