Business Development Manager - Legal

Our client a growing professional services organization, is seeking a Business Development Manager to partner closely with leadership in expanding market presence, strengthening referral relationships, and increasing thought leadership visibility. This role is focused on executing strategic business development initiatives that drive measurable growth outcomes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of independently managing multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment. This is not a generalist marketing role. The position centers on business development execution, relationship activation, strategic event coordination, and thought leadership initiatives. Key Responsibilities Identify and secure speaking, panel, and authorship opportunities aligned with business growth objectives Manage submission processes, including abstracts, learning objectives, outlines, and supporting materials Coordinate presentation development, slide preparation, and related collateral Ensure opportunities align with target audiences and strategic growth priorities Support planning and execution of conferences, sponsorships, networking events, and client-facing programs Develop pre-event outreach strategies and post-event follow-up plans Coordinate event collateral, invitations, and communication materials Track and report on event outcomes, including relationship development and business opportunities generated Support leadership in identifying and cultivating referral sources and strategic relationships Coordinate introductions, follow-ups, and relationship-building initiatives Maintain visibility into pipeline activity and relationship development efforts Manage end-to-end submissions for industry directories and awards programs Gather content, project summaries, and supporting materials from internal stakeholders Ensure submissions are strategic, accurate, and completed on deadline Track outcomes and identify opportunities to strengthen positioning year over year Coordinate materials tied directly to growth initiatives, including: Event collateral and follow-up communications Speaking materials and presentation support Marketing and business development presentations Video and content coordination related to strategic initiatives Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on broader execution efforts Qualifications 3+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or growth-focused roles Professional services experience strongly preferred; legal industry experience is a plus Exceptional project management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills Compensation and Benefits $90,000 - $130,000 (based on experience) Discretionary bonus (based on experience) Why choose Addison Group?
