Kubernetes Ecosystem Business Development Manager

Overview We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Kubernetes Ecosystem Business Development Manager to develop and manage a portfolio of technology and ISV (independent software vendor) partnerships for our VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) division. The successful candidate will develop an ecosystem of partners who test and certify their containerized software for deployment on VCF using our vSphere Kubernetes Service. Responsibilities Develop new technology and ISV partnerships to expand our ecosystem of software partners who interoperate with our platform. Proactively engage with technology and ISV partners on the value proposition of VKS for our ecosystem and customers. Develop and manage our Tech/ISV VKS validation program, assets and collateral. Drive work streams and deliverables to enable product interoperability by collaborating across partner and VCF product, engineering, and marketing teams. Identify and drive additional opportunities for joint solution differentiation and route-to-market activations. Manage collaborations across cross‑functional teams. Support our Technology Alliance Program (TAP) and its members. Clearly and concisely report and communicate business results and metrics. Must work in the office; remote work is not allowed for this position. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of professional experience in partner management, business development, or related technology roles. Proven track record of driving successful technology and/or ISV partner engagements through strategic initiatives. Prior Kubernetes experience, deep expertise in container technologies and knowledge of the business benefits for software development. Experience collaborating with product, engineering and marketing personnel to drive co‑innovation and co‑marketing activities with technology partners. Knowledge of VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere Kubernetes Service, and other Kubernetes platform products, including Red Hat OpenShift, is a distinct advantage. Relationship‑driven, self‑starter with strong dedication to collaboration and the ability to build credibility across multiple stakeholders. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Self‑motivated, creative, collaborative, and results‑oriented. Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Enthusiastic and passionate about technology, able to attract and form lasting relationships. Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $106,900 - $190,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
