Position Overview

\n

We are seeking a Sales Engineer – Healthcare, Data Centers & Adjoining Markets to drive market development, specification influence, and project conversion within high-value, code-driven segments.

\n

The position will focus on building relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and owners to position Company as the preferred partner for passive fire protection solutions.

\n

Success in this role will be defined by early-stage specification wins, pipeline development, and effective pull-through to project conversion.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop and execute a targeted growth strategy across Healthcare, Data Centers, and Adjoining Occupancy markets.
\n
• Build and manage relationships with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and owners to drive early-stage engagement.
\n
• Lead specification efforts for steel column fire protection systems and compartmentation solutions.
\n
• Identify, track, and influence projects from design through construction.
\n
• Provide technical support and position Company solutions in alignment with code requirements and project needs.
\n
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, marketing, and product teams to support solution development and demand generation.
\n
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and code developments to inform strategy.
\n
• Work closely with technical, marketing, and product development teams to tailor solutions and deliver compelling value propositions.
\n
• Represent Company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences relevant to the data center and mission-critical infrastructure sectors.
\n
• Travel approximately 40–60%.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• 5+ years of experience in business development or technical sales, ideally within the construction materials, fire protection, or data center sectors.
\n
• Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle, specification process, and critical performance requirements.
\n
• Technical background in engineering, architecture, or construction science preferred.
\n
• Ability to manage complex projects and navigate multiple stakeholders.
\n
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
\n
• Comfortable working in a matrixed, multinational organization.
\n
• Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
\n
• Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
\n
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working remotely.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling passive fire protection products or insulation materials.
\n
• Technical understanding of fire stopping, fireproofing, or thermal insulation systems.
\n
• Existing relationships with distributors, contractors, or specifiers.
\n
• Familiarity with LEED, green building standards, and sustainability drivers.
\n
