POSITION PURPOSE

To ensure the accurate, safe, and timely service of regular and therapeutic diets to the community members in Cedars Assisted Living, Gardens Memory Care Center, and the Elmwood Care Center. Provide and maintain availability of in-between meal snacks for the departments and maintain a sanitary work environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure tray accuracy. Measure and record temperature of Hot Foods and Cold Foods at start and end of each tray line. Prepare menus prior to breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Visit community members in assigned areas for menu selections, may require to read the menu to some community members. Answer tray line phone and take orders or deliver items wanted. Maintain communication with Registered Dietician regarding patient changes or needs. Always maintaining menu accuracy when doing changes. Maintain community member diet data such as current sides, drinks, and the Cook’s tally sheets on a weekly basis according to the department census and community member preference changes. Deliver nourishments to Gardens Memory Care Center and Elmwood. Record temperatures of all assigned refrigerators and routinely clean out any outdated items. Check for new diet orders, discharges, and any new admits for the Elmwood Care Center and Gardens Memory Care Center. Create tray cards as needed. Maintain a neat and sanitary work area - both in the main kitchen and in the Nutrition Aide prep area.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Days needed: Tuesday & Friday-Sunday Due to California State regulations, we are required to have all our applicants pass a Background Check, Physical, and TB test. Requirements
