Physio Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Syracuse, New York. In this full-time role, you will serve as an essential partner in the recovery journey of our patients, focusing on restoration of mobility and promoting optimal functioning. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the quality of life for each individual we serve, employing techniques in promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

At Physio Recovery Center, we prioritize delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a state-of-the-art, 5,000 square-foot rehabilitation facility. Our practice specializes in orthopedic outpatient services, primarily treating patients with various musculoskeletal disorders. We accept most private insurance carriers, ensuring our therapy services are accessible to those seeking recovery. Our team consists of two highly trained physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), collaborating to offer an integrative approach to physical therapy.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Syracuse facility, designed to foster a therapeutic environment equipped with the latest technology in sports medicine and rehabilitation. You will be part of a supportive team that values communication and collaboration, allowing for shared insights and strategies to improve patient outcomes. Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., providing a structured environment that ensures work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate, and identify patient goals and needs, creating tailored treatment plans that address individual requirements.
• Manage a patient load of 2-3 clients per hour, ensuring timely and effective care delivery.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, integrating evidence-based practices into your care approach.
• Educate patients about their conditions and empower them with knowledge on alternative therapy options to reduce reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Develop fitness and wellness programs, incorporating exercises focused on improving strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, adhering to best practices in healthcare documentation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering personal accountability and encouraging optimal function.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. These include athletes looking to regain peak performance, as well as everyday individuals seeking recovery from strains, sprains, and post-operative conditions. Your role will be to guide them through the rehabilitation process, equipping them with the skills to return to their daily activities and improve their overall wellness.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current New York Physical Therapist License with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and the ability to instruct patients effectively in exercise and rehabilitation methods.
• Proficient knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable and will be considered a significant asset.
• Demonstrated ability to implement cost-effective treatments that capture significant improvements in patient mobility.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
