Work Environment

The work setting is entirely onsite at our Syracuse rehabilitation facility, fostering a collaborative atmosphere among a close-knit team of healthcare professionals. As a part of our dedicated staff, you'll be surrounded by two other physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all working towards a common goal: delivering exceptional care with compassion and professionalism. Our facility is tailored for an efficient workflow, enabling you to focus on providing high-quality treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to understand their needs, goals, and challenges in personal mobility.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities aimed at improving motion and functional capacity.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized attention and effective treatment outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to minimize reliance on medication through non-surgical alternatives and cost-effective treatments.
• Educate patients about their conditions and treatment plans, providing motivation and support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Monitor patient progress, make necessary adjustments to treatment protocols, and maintain clear documentation to track outcomes and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including doctors and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and timely communication regarding progress.
• Provide guidance in fitness and wellness programs tailored to patients' individual requirements, encouraging sustainable gains in strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves a diverse clientele with a focus on individuals covered by private medical insurance. Many patients come to us with post-operative needs, sports injuries, or chronic pain issues requiring specialized orthopedic care. Our diverse patient population allows you to engage with various cases, further enhancing your clinical skills and expertise.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State, with no history of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Strong foundational skills in manual therapy techniques and proficiency in developing tailored exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to ensure efficient documentation and communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with both patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, enhancing your understanding of patient dynamics in recovery.
• Experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to address comprehensive patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
