Work Environment

This is an onsite position at our outpatient facility, allowing you to engage directly with patients in a friendly and well-equipped therapeutic environment. Your work hours will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a stable schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments for new patients, identifying their unique needs and developing personalized treatment plans to guide recovery.
• Create and implement tailored therapy programs focusing on mobility, pain management, balance, and functional improvement, ensuring that all patient goals are at the forefront of the recovery process.
• Utilize hands-on treatments, therapeutic exercises, and gait training techniques, closely monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment strategies as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and wellness strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment updates in accordance with healthcare standards, ensuring seamless continuity of care and effective communication with healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and other therapy specialists to provide holistic and coordinated care, enhancing patient outcomes through an interconnected approach to health.
• Regularly evaluate and adjust intervention strategies based on patient feedback and clinical judgments, maintaining an adaptive approach to individual care needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will be crucial in aiding their recovery from surgery, injury, or managing chronic conditions, enabling them to regain independence in their daily activities while enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey is required.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy is preferred, particularly in geriatric care or outpatient settings.
• Exceptional clinical knowledge combined with strong communication skills is necessary to effectively liaise with patients and their families.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. Additional certifications related to geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation will be beneficial.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role as it involves travel to patients' residences if needed.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient clinics, with a focus on patient education and community engagement.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems to manage patient documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, with a salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education.
