Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, postoperative rehabilitation needs, and chronic pain conditions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise regimens, and neuromuscular re-education strategies tailored to each patient's goals.
• Regularly monitor patient progress through documented assessments and modify treatment plans as necessary to enhance recovery timelines and outcomes.
• Empower patients to adopt positive health habits by providing education on injury prevention strategies, effective home exercises, and long-term wellness practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, engaging in ongoing communication regarding patient status, treatment adjustments, and collective goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment sessions to uphold compliance standards and facilitate continuity of care.
• Participate in team meetings and community outreach initiatives to promote physical therapy awareness and the importance of rehabilitation services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our facility, you will primarily work with diverse populations, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical patients seeking rehabilitation, and individuals dealing with chronic pain or mobility limitations. Your role will involve addressing their specific needs through personalized therapy interventions aimed at restoring function and enhancing quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active New Jersey Physical Therapist license.
• A Doctorate (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, with a strong emphasis on outpatient care.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and a proven ability to communicate empathetically and effectively with patients and team members.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; additional certifications in specialized areas, such as geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation, are a plus.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for potential home visits are required.
