Key Responsibilities\n

• Document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently while maintaining client confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Ascendancy, you will primarily work with patients in a hospice setting. This role requires sensitivity and skill in addressing not only the emotional and psychological aspects of terminal illness but also the complex dynamics within families as they navigate grief and loss. Your work will be vital in providing reassurance, guidance, and support to clients and families facing challenging life transitions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

• Valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC).

• A minimum of two years' experience as a Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor, with a preference for candidates with five years of experience.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.

• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in hospice, palliative care, or similar environments focusing on end-of-life issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n
