Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, meticulously documenting cases from initial consultations through the entire treatment process.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies.
\n
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans to support individuals, couples, families, and various group therapies based on identified needs.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
\n
• Monitor and assess progress throughout all phases of the treatment plan, making adjustments as needed to meet client goals.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create a cohesive approach to client care.

• Follow up with hospitalized clients in conjunction with attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive strategies to enhance client outcomes.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance and resources to better manage mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction. You will employ a person-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, respect, and partnership in therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Excellent record of providing mental health counseling with proven skill in establishing rapport with clients.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with treating underlying physical health conditions and behavioral disorders.

• Familiarity with addiction recovery processes and interventions.
\n
• Knowledge of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Understanding the pharmacological impacts of medications prescribed for mental health conditions.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a naturally empathetic disposition essential for building trust with clients.
