This position is primarily remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients through virtual platforms. However, a designated outpatient office is available for in-person meetings and collaboration with team members as needed. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand the unique needs of each patient effectively.

• Maintain clear communication with supervisors, direct care staff, families, and guardians regarding clients' progress, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved.

• Develop and propose a tentative schedule for appointments, home visits, and observations to monitor client advancement and treatment efficacy.
\n
• Facilitate and coordinate home visits to carry out in-home observations, conduct chart reviews, engage in staff interviews, and analyze client data.
\n
• Oversee the implementation of personalized program plans, ensuring they are executed effectively and adjusted as necessary to meet clients' evolving needs.
\n
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and other relevant discussions to foster a culture of collaboration and shared goals.

• Document monthly and quarterly progress notes that reflect the client's journey and changes in their conditions, contributing to their ongoing treatment plans.
\n
• Organize and conduct training sessions to equip staff and other team members with essential skills for implementing program plans and maintaining accurate documentation.

• Provide consistent follow-up through interviews, home visits, and observations to ensure sustained support for clients and fostering positive outcomes.

• Act as a liaison between Riverwoods Academy and the wider mental health community by developing partnerships and supporting professional development goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Professional Counselor will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults who are facing various mental health challenges such as trauma, substance misuse, and relational issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of Kansas.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience in a clinical setting is mandatory.

• Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly preferred.

• A strong familiarity with both legal and ethical standards governing mental health practices is essential.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from varying backgrounds.

• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively within a healthcare team to achieve shared treatment goals.

• Proficient in using EMR software and other relevant technologies for documentation and patient management.
