Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients using a blend of gold-standard assessments and keen observational techniques.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that balance immediate goals with broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions encompassing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing therapy.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish uniform care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to empower progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain precise documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in lifelong learning to stay at the forefront of advances in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still in progress.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
