Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial assessments and provide accurate mental health diagnoses, tailoring treatment plans that align with the recovery goals of each patient.

• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities in short-term counseling sessions addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, and domestic violence.

• Implement effective crisis intervention strategies, including assessing risk, de-escalation, and coordinating with the public mental health crisis response team when necessary.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and other treatment team members to ensure comprehensive, cohesive care for patients.

• Engage in follow-up assessments and prevention planning to support patients during and after crisis situations, reinforcing ongoing safety and support.

• Provide short-term case management to support patient engagement in treatment, helping them navigate resources and services as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Sierra Mental Health Therapy, you will work primarily with adults facing a wide spectrum of mental health issues. Our clients may have experienced trauma, deal with chronic mental health conditions, or seek support for situational crises. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant behavioral science field is required.

• Possession of a current California Board of Behavioral Sciences designation, such as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling or therapy services.

• Demonstrated expertise in clinical mental health services for individuals, families, and groups with an array of behavioral health concerns.
