Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Direct and implement individualized treatment plans to prevent disability, relieve pain, and restore function based on thorough evaluations of each client's physical abilities.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in their delivery of therapy, ensuring high standards in the implementation of care plans.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments using diagnostic and prognostic tests to evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Assess and analyze clients' home environments to recommend modifications that promote independence and safety.
• Provide hands-on therapy including manual exercises and adaptations, while guiding clients through prescribed non-manual exercises.
• Administer various therapeutic treatments, including traction, massage, and physical agents, as outlined in the treatment plan.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to evaluate treatment efficacy and adjust care plans as needed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Advise clients and their families on the appropriate use of therapy devices and overall physical therapy programs to enhance recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse client population that includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
