Job Details Primary Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate plumbing estimates for commercial and industrial projects ranging from ground‑up new construction to tenant improvements Review and analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications to develop comprehensive scopes of work Solicit, evaluate, and qualify subcontractor and supplier bids Perform material takeoffs for commercial plumbing and process piping systems Identify project risks, exclusions, and clarifications and communicate them clearly in bid submissions Collaborate with project managers and field leadership to ensure estimates align with actual construction methods and costs Maintain and update pricing databases, vendor relationships, and historical cost data Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site walks, and post‑bid interviews Support value engineering efforts to provide competitive and accurate bids Qualifications 5+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience with a mechanical contractor Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, process piping, and related mechanical systems Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications Proficiency in estimating software such as Trimble, QuoteSoft, or similar platforms Familiarity with projects in the healthcare, education, industrial, or commercial sectors preferred Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under deadline pressure North Carolina market knowledge is a plus Applicable U.S. based work experience Perks & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Stable, growing company with a 45‑year track record High‑profile project portfolio with real career visibility Collaborative team environment with experienced leadership Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
