Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial consultations and thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions and symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and design customized treatment plans that focus on enhancing mobility and reducing pain.
• Educate patients on therapeutic exercise techniques and guide them in proper form and usage to ensure effectiveness and safety.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, including massage and other modalities, to facilitate healing and improve physical function.
• Assist patients in utilizing assistive devices like wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches, ensuring their confidence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Maintain meticulous patient records to track individual progress, adapt treatment plans, and communicate outcomes effectively with the healthcare team.
• Advise patients and their families on in-home care options and exercises to support recovery and rehabilitation beyond the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role in the Agile Strength Rehabilitation Center will include working with a diverse range of patients, spanning from young children to elderly adults. You will develop specialized therapeutic approaches to address various diagnoses, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, post-surgical care, and chronic pain management. Your expertise will help empower patients, restore their independence, and maximize their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health professionals.
• Proficiency in computer use, including electronic medical records and word processing software.
• Strong adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality care.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is highly preferred.
• Experience working with specific patient populations such as pediatrics or geriatrics is advantageous.
