Patent Attorney or Patent Agent – Biotechnology – New York or San Francisco Our client is a top Am law 100 firm, seeking a Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with at least 5 years of experience for its Intellectual Property practice in New York or San Francisco. The salary range for this position is between $200k to $300k. Qualifications At least 5 years of experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications relating to biotechnology. Substantial experience drafting patent applications relevant to in vitro diagnostic assays, as well as familiarity in one or more of the following areas: immunoassays, CRISPR-based assays, nucleic acid sequencing and quantification, and related probes, kits, and reagents. Experience with computational biology is a plus but is not required. Advanced degree [M.S. or Ph.D.] in molecular biology or a closely related discipline. Candidates with a B.S. degree who have at least 5 years of industry or lab experience will also be considered. USPTO admission is required. California or New York bar required [for attorney role].
