Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and initial consultations, thoroughly documenting each client’s case history and treatment progress.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to foster engagement and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed to ensure adherence to the established recovery plan.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate effective interventions and referrals.

• Engage with clients’ families and primary caregivers to provide support and guidance on managing mental health challenges.

• Identify and intervene proactively to mitigate any behaviors detrimental to clients' recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• Successful completion and passing of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills complemented by excellent interpersonal abilities and empathy.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record management, specifically with systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of the effects of both psychological and physical health conditions on clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in a remote or telehealth setting.

• Exposure to a range of treatment modalities, with particular emphasis on addressing underlying physical and emotional health challenges.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Insight into the interactions of medication prescribed by healthcare specialists concerning mental health treatments.
