Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through virtual interviews, documenting findings from the initial consultation to the completion of treatment.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of clients, utilizing evidence-based methodologies and best practices.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, offering therapeutic interventions that foster healing and personal growth.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to maximize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care physicians, to ensure an integrated approach to client care.

• Provide follow-up care and referrals for patients requiring additional support services or specialized treatment.

• Identify potential barriers hindering recovery and develop strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support families and caregivers by providing guidance on how to address mental and behavioral challenges exhibited by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and other mental health issues. Our clientele spans various demographics, and candidates must be adept at providing culturally competent care that honors the values and experiences of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in the state of California.
\n
• Passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate client documentation.
\n
• In-depth understanding of the interplay between emotional and physical health, particularly regarding addiction and recovery processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport with clients in a virtual setting.

• Strong interpersonal skills, showcasing empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to facilitate healing.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor within a telehealth setting.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge concerning the effects of pharmaceutical treatments prescribed by other medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
