Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of clients, establishing rapport and building strong therapeutic alliances while upholding ethical standards and professional boundaries.

• Conducting regular sessions to assess client progress, discuss upcoming appointments, and determine the appropriate time and criteria for discharge.

• Creating, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation and progress notes to track client development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health history and current psychological state.

• Facilitating weekly individual sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions.

• Engaging in individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and receive valuable feedback.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in New Jersey.

• A minimum of one year of post-graduate experience in a clinical outpatient setting, equipping you with the skills necessary for effective counseling.

• Proficiency with technology, including experience with spreadsheets, RMS systems, and electronic health records.

• Demonstrated ability to provide direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families in a way that encourages engagement and therapeutic progress.
