Solution Engineer

Position Title: Solution Engineer Location: Wendell, North Carolina, United States of America Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours/week Responsibilities Analyze client specifications for electrical engineering‑related applications and adjust one‑line and schematic diagrams accordingly. Design appropriate product solutions to meet client expectations by applying Siemens medium voltage switchgear products and associated protection and control systems. Create all documents required for client review/approval and manufacturing of medium voltage switchgears. Use engineering configuration software to prepare one‑line drawings, control schematics, and bill of material. Coordinate with other engineers, designers, and drafters. Provide technical support during manufacturing to ensure deliverables are true to design and meet client requirements. Travel domestically and internationally (≈ 20 %) as needed. Work in a hybrid environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and three (3) years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree with one (1) year of relevant experience is also acceptable. Experience designing/configuring electrical power distribution products and systems for medium voltage switchgear, with emphasis on protection and controls. Fundamental understanding of ANSI, IEEE, UL, NEC, and NEMA standards for MV switchgear. Electrical drafting experience with AutoCAD Electrical (or similar). Ability to read, understand, and evaluate one‑line and schematic drawings to identify errors or improvements. Experience creating and working with smart CAD blocks.
