Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant - ContractA large, structured corporate accounting environment is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day general ledger accounting operations. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the books across a complex, multi-entity organization. The right candidate brings solid GL fundamentals, strong reconciliation skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced close environment.Responsibilities include:Prepare and post journal entries across assigned accounts and entitiesPerform monthly balance sheet and account reconciliationsSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesReview financial data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as they ariseMaintain compliance with internal controls and company accounting policiesReconciliations & Analysis:Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany activityResearch and resolve reconciling items and unexplained variancesPrepare supporting schedules and documentation for assigned accountsAssist with fixed asset and other subledger reconciliations as neededReporting & Audit Support:Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management reviewAssist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as neededIdentify and contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracySupport ad hoc accounting projects as assignedQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2-4 years of general ledger accounting experienceHands-on experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closeStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working in a large ERP environmentAble to work independently and manage competing priorities against close deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred:Experience with Workday FinancialsMulti-entity accounting environment experienceExposure to fixed asset accountingSOX compliance experienceAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
