Administrator, Inventory Control (1st Shift) - City of Industry CA

Job Summary Under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor, Team Lead or Operations Manager, this position provides daily inventory control functions. The incumbent applies the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model to improve operational efficiency and meet corporate values and objectives. Responsibilities Perform basic inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records following established procedures. Assist the supervisor/team lead in coordination of cycle counts, research, aisle audits, adjustments, inventory reporting, and efficient use of time and equipment, ensuring accurate records and tight inventory control and security. Maintain and prepare records and reports as required. Ensure inventory records are current and accurate. Process inventory system adjustments. Arrange cycle counts and physical inventories and verify quantities. Act as liaison between warehouse personnel, CSRs, and the customer. Resolve problems as they occur, ensuring accurate and complete information is conveyed to all concerned. Resolve difficult customer inventory problems. Maintain a good working relationship with customers and report all customer feedback. Assist other inventory control personnel in resolving customer problems. Perform other duties, projects and assignments as required. Assist management in finding solutions to problem areas. Meet and occasionally exceed standards for safety, quality, productivity and inventory accuracy. Work according to an assigned schedule. Be available for periodic overtime work, as needed. Qualifications One to two (1‑2) years of customer service. Inventory experience or accounting required. Familiar with distribution and warehouse procedures and inventory control functions. Good communicator, both verbal and written. Good interpersonal skills. Proficient in data entry. Microsoft Office skills preferred. Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures. Ability to write legibly. Good math skills. Managerial Experience None Schedule Monday–Friday; 6:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. Hourly wage: $21.00.
