Twin Tower Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our child and adolescent psychiatry team in Salinas, California. Work Environment\n

As a member of our outpatient psychiatry office, you will work primarily during traditional business hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using standardized tools to evaluate the psychological needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that account for individual growth stages and family dynamics.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers, equipping them with strategies to foster a supportive home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support in mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment choices, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively engage in team meetings and case consultations, contributing to continuous improvement and fostering professional development.

• Stay current with research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to inform treatment practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client focus is primarily on children and adolescents, typically ranging from ages 6 to 18, who present with various mental health concerns. These may include developmental disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and behavioral challenges. You will play a critical role in not only addressing these issues but also empowering patients and their families to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health, with evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic methods.

• Demonstrated ability to engage with young clients and their families in a supportive and effective manner.

• Proven proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills to foster collaboration with peers and other professionals.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
