Work Environment

The position is fully onsite in Santa Ana, where you will engage directly with patients in their homes. Home care is a dynamic setting that allows you to see patients in a familiar environment, which can significantly influence their willingness and ability to participate in therapeutic activities. You will be responsible for managing your schedule effectively, ensuring timely and impactful visits that cater to each patient's specific needs. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a balanced work-life approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical abilities to set tailored goals and treatment plans focused on improving movement and mobility.
• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions, maintaining a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure personalized attention and care.
• Develop customized fitness and wellness programs that fit the individual needs of patients, addressing their unique circumstances.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise therapy, and functional training, to help patients achieve tangible improvements.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting care plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
• Implement cost-effective treatment modalities that emphasize non-surgical options and minimize reliance on medication.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and deliver comprehensive care.
• Motivate and educate patients about the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle, contributing to their overall health and well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-operative conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Understanding the specific challenges and limitations of this population will enable you to tailor your interventions effectively and facilitate their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field, with a focus on current best practices in physiotherapy.
• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in California with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Minimum of three years of documented experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of patient care in this specialty.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills alongside proficiency in designing effective exercise prescriptions tailored to each patient.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as WebPT is needed for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in specialties such as orthopedics or manual therapy will stand out. Experience in home health settings is also beneficial, as prior exposure to the unique dynamics of visiting patients in their residences enhances your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 125,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
