Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Brick Township, NJ
Type: Contract (Remote)
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $1,860.00 – $2,000.00 per week (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, budgeting, and treasury-related activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and organizational financial policies.
Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end reports.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Prepare annual budgets, capital budgets, operating budgets, and upload budget data into the accounting system.
Monitor cash activity, maintain cash reconciliations, and support treasury and debt management functions.
Manage accounts payable processes, vendor reconciliations, check runs, and vendor master file maintenance.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors and prepare audit documentation to support financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, accounting standards, and internal financial controls while communicating effectively with financial institutions, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience .
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
Experience with treasury, debt management, finance, and accounting functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of relevant accounting experience .
Background in Treasury and Debt Management.
Previous hospital or healthcare accounting experience.
Experience with PeopleSoft Financial and/or Lawson ERP systems.
