Accounting Assistant

Client Overview: 

Our client, a well-established organization in the non-profit sector, is looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

$18/hr - $20/hr

Position Overview: 

Our client is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support financial operations through accurate data entry, account reconciliation, and document management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:

• Perform data entry for invoices, payments, and financial transactions using QuickBooks and other productivity software.
• Manage filing systems, both digital and physical, ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible.
• Support bookkeeping activities by reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Assist with calendar management and office administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain close attention to detail in all financial documentation and data processing.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Assistant:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong computer literacy and excellent typing skills.
• Experience with office management practices, including filing systems and data entry.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Assistant:

• Previous office experience with a focus on clerical or administrative roles is highly preferred.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
