CGP: Tax Consultant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Manager to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $80.00 to $99.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collect, review, and validate vendor tax and residency forms and maintain accurate records.
• Monitor payments to determine reportable activity and confirm proper withholding treatment.
• Prepare and reconcile required information returns and support related submissions.
• Respond to notices, resolve errors, and assist with audits and special reporting needs.
• Maintain compliance calendars, track deadlines, and partner with accounts payable and other teams to keep vendor data accurate.

• A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least 4+ years of experience in accounts payable, vendor compliance, or tax support.
• Working knowledge of nonresident withholding rules and state information return requirements.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and logical formulas.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment while managing multiple tasks.

• High attention to detail with strong analytical and data reconciliation ability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Ability to interpret payment data and apply tax rules to diverse vendor situations.
• Familiarity with vendor master data controls and process improvement methods.
• Comfort with automation initiatives and continuous improvement of tax workflows.
