About the Role
The Company is in search of an Associate General Counsel with a focus on Property and Casualty insurance regulatory matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of insurance regulatory filings, including those related to holding company and change-of-control transactions. This role involves close collaboration with state insurance departments on a range of activities such as filings, approvals, examinations, and regulatory inquiries. The Associate General Counsel will also provide expert advice to business teams on P&C insurance regulatory issues that affect both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations, and will be actively involved in supporting financial and market conduct examinations, consumer complaints, and other regulatory requests. Applicants for this position must have a JD and be admitted to practice in at least one state, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in the insurance industry, preferably with a focus on property and casualty insurance regulatory matters. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in preparing insurance regulatory filings and a proven track record of interacting with state insurance departments. Key skills include strong drafting, legal research, analytical, communication, and project management abilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently while also being an effective partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile strategic initiatives and to be part of a large and complex insurance platform.
