Charging Business Development Manager - ANZ

Responsibilities:

• Develop partnerships with top local CPOs and eMSPs to ensure the brand network rollout plan is executed on schedule.
• Simultaneously drive V2G business development and deployment in both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring successful business models across different markets.
• Conduct site surveys and evaluations of potential partner networks and locations based on company standards to ensure they meet XPENG brand station requirements.
• Once projects are confirmed, prepare and review relevant contract documents, including commercial agreements, MOUs, NDAs, pricing proposals, etc.
• Project Management: Be familiar with overseas EV charging and energy storage project construction and management processes, as well as local OEM/CPO brand network standards. Manage the full lifecycle of brand network projects in Australia and New Zealand—from initiation, finalization of design plans, procurement (if applicable), construction progress and quality control, commissioning and handover, to post-launch operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders:
• a. Maintain effective communication with domestic and international departments to safeguard company interests, ensure project compliance, reasonable budgets, and adherence to company standards.
• b. Establish smooth communication and collaboration mechanisms with local dealers to ensure the charging network supports new car sales. Work with the international department and dealers to design and implement local charging benefits.
• c. Coordinate with local partners, property owners, or relevant authorities to address project issues and changes.
• Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify local compliance and project risks, report significant risks promptly, and develop and implement contingency plans to protect company interests and ensure project safety and schedule.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above from a QS Top 100 university, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Energy & Power Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in EV charging network expansion or operations with European OEMs (e.g., Tesla, BYD, Aion, MG) or top 10 local CPOs (e.g., EV Edge, Afcon, Sonol EVI).
• Familiar with relevant laws, regulations, and construction standards in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the application and construction process for public charging stations with relevant authorities.
• Local language / English proficiency as working language. IELTS 7.0 or equivalent certification required.
• Project Management: Overseas project management experience preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
• Understand both Chinese and local culture and work habits. Able to coordinate and manage multiple stakeholder needs including partners, dealers, site landlords, and internal teams.
• Strong local government or industry partner connections preferred.
