Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations and comprehensive mental health assessments to establish clear, detailed case documentation from start to finish.

• Evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological health to inform the development of tailored therapeutic strategies.

• Create and implement engaging recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and various group settings, demonstrating an ability to adapt interventions based on client feedback.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe, therapeutic space where clients are encouraged to share and explore personal challenges.

• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effective support.

• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and social workers, to coordinate care for clients with complex needs.

• Maintain consistent communication with psychiatrists regarding medication management for clients requiring hospitalization.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to address these challenges, with a focus on prevention and intervention.

• Support family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, promoting a holistic approach to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will interact with a diverse clientele encompassing individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in helping clients navigate their unique struggles and work towards improved emotional health and stability.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the State of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency with electronic health records, experience with systems like AVATAR is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing mental health issues, addiction disorders, and co-occurring physical health conditions.

• In-depth understanding of the latest guidelines and best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to maintain rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills paired with a deep sense of empathy and compassion.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, especially within a telehealth format, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, and successful candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
