Key Responsibilities\n

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations to identify client needs and treatment goals.

• Implementing crisis interventions to support individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges.

• Managing assessments and follow-up care for incarcerated individuals, ensuring continuity of mental health treatment.

• Coordinating with correctional facilities to facilitate access to appropriate mental health resources for clients.

• Leading group therapy sessions focused on mental health support and coping strategies for patients in various treatment units.

• Completing all necessary documentation efficiently while adhering to compliance protocols.

• Participating in weekly clinical supervision sessions aimed at professional development and skill enhancement.

• Engaging in case conferences to collaboratively develop treatment plans for clients in need of mental health services.

• Conducting psychological testing, if assigned, to assess client progress and inform treatment strategies.

• Supervising social work interns or student volunteers to support their learning and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be on incarcerated individuals who require mental health services. This client population may include those struggling with severe mental illness, behavioral challenges, and substance use disorders. You will employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique circumstances and challenges faced by these individuals, aiming to facilitate recovery and enhance their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid professional experience providing direct mental health care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
