Base pay range $26.00/hr - $34.00/hr Job Overview – Staff Accountant (Temp to Perm): Compensation: $26 – $34/hour Location: South Jersey Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office) Atlantic Group is hiring a Staff Accountant (Temp to Perm) to join our client’s accounting team in South Jersey. This in-office role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. You will support daily financial operations, assist with reporting, and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Dynamics NAVISION/Business Central, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. Responsibilities as the Staff Accountant: Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Record, monitor, and report AP/AR transactions, manage invoicing and collections, and communicate with vendors and customers. Financial Reporting and Reconciliations: Assist with financial statement preparation, variance analyses, annual ledger close, and perform monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations. Sales Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly sales tax reports across multiple states. Process Improvements: Identify and recommend improvements to enhance the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of accounting processes. Administrative Support: Maintain organized records, assist with special projects, and provide operational support as needed. Qualifications for the Staff Accountant: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to AP, AR, financial reporting, and general ledger management. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, and experience with Dynamics NAVISION or similar ERP systems preferred. Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and communication skills. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with multi-state sales tax reporting and reconciliations is preferred.
