Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the psychosocial needs of students, utilizing various evaluation tools to gather insights on emotional, mental, and social factors affecting their well-being.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with students and their families, ensuring these plans are tailored to meet their specific goals and preferences.

• Provide counseling and emotional support, assisting students and their families in navigating challenges such as transitions, behavioral issues, and mental health crises.

• Advocate for students’ rights, ensuring they have access to necessary community resources, educational support, and mental health services.
\n
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including educators, nurses, and psychologists to coordinate holistic care, ensuring a unified approach to student support.

• Conduct regular check-ins with students, offering emotional support and assessing changes in their mental health or living conditions.
\n
• Facilitate communication and conflict resolution among family members involved in a student's care, fostering an environment of understanding and collaboration.

• Educate students and their families about community resources, support groups, and wellness programs that promote social participation and overall quality of life.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and facility policies.

• Stay updated on current practices and policies in social work, continually enhancing your knowledge to ensure effective service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be students, generally ranging from elementary to high school age, who may face various psychological challenges including anxiety, depression, and difficulties related to life transitions. You will also work with their families to provide a supportive network that encourages resilience and emotional well-being, ensuring students thrive in their school environment.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
\n
• A minimum of two years of direct experience in a social work role, ideally within educational or community settings.
\n
• Exceptional knowledge of social work principles, particularly as they pertain to child and adolescent mental health.

• Strong ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues, alongside excellent counseling and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various digital communication tools to document and manage client information.

Compensation and Benefits\n
