Accounts Receivable Specialist | New York, NY | Hybrid / Onsite | Compensation: Commensurate with Experience (Temp to Hire) About the role We're looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist on a temporary to permanent basis to come in and tackle the responsibilities below: What you'll actually do Manage assigned AR balances and follow up on outstanding invoices via phone and email Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time Post and apply incoming payments including checks, ACH, wires, and credit card transactions Reconcile customer accounts and investigate and resolve billing discrepancies Review aging reports regularly and prioritize collection activity based on risk and balance Handle customer inquiries, disputes, and payment commitments professionally and efficiently Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly AR reports and aging summaries Coordinate with billing, operations, and finance teams to resolve invoice and payment issues Assist with month-end close including AR reconciliations and revenue reporting Escalate high-risk or significantly aged accounts to management when appropriate Support audit preparation and maintain accurate documentation of all AR activity What we're looking for 3+ years of accounts receivable or collections experience Comfortable making collection calls and owning follow-up through resolution Strong understanding of full-cycle AR: invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; pivot tables and VLOOKUPs a plus Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, or similar Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional and persistent with customers and internal teams Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines independently #J-18808-Ljbffr
