Accounts Receivable Specialist

A leading firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee AR operations, optimize collection processes, and maintain strong tenant relationships. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills, financial expertise, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment while improving processes and supporting business objectives. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring timely tenant communication, effective collection strategies, and accurate resolution of outstanding balances and payment discrepancies. Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants and internal stakeholders to proactively address inquiries, improve collections, and support overall financial performance. Monitor tenant account health, defaults, and risk factors while coordinating with internal and external partners on escalations, legal matters, and recovery efforts when needed. Maintain accurate account documentation, reporting, and performance tracking while ensuring AR activities align with company policies, procedures, KPIs, and operational goals. Lead process improvement initiatives by evaluating internal controls, identifying efficiencies, and leveraging new tools and technologies to enhance AR operations. Mentor and support team members while preparing monthly reporting, providing management updates, and contributing to special projects that drive business success. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, with experience using MRI or Yardi systems preferred. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and with external stakeholders. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
