Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexible remote work, primarily conducted through virtual sessions, coupled with the potential for in-person interactions within our outpatient office setting in Naperville. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions as well as group therapy sessions at our outpatient facility to address individual client needs effectively.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques to deliver anger management strategies, teach coping mechanisms, and develop social skills that help mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.

• Work closely with clients’ families to enhance decision-making skills, enabling better management of in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team along with other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client support.
\n
• Retain up-to-date and thorough documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, in alignment with organizational standards and timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and recommendations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role centers on working with children aged 3-20 who have developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will address a diverse range of emotional and behavioral concerns, focusing on creating strategies to enhance the quality of life for both the children and their families. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

• Willingness to dedicate a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM); weekend availability is a strong plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies, demonstrating real-world applications in therapeutic settings.

• Prior experience working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred and highly beneficial.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 based on qualifications and experience.
