Senior AssistantAs a senior assistant, you will support Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) by providing a variety of legal assistance and office support services. Duties include:Provides expert advice on complex organized crime and drug investigations and prosecutions.Serves as a legal assistance subject matter expert and provides training and guidance to other support staff.Maintains current knowledge of regulations, laws applicable to domestic and international drug trafficking and associated organized crime.Provides a variety of direct legal support to one or more AUSAs.Prepares a wide variety of legal documents, many of which are voluminous and complex in format.Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
