Position Summary

DeVoe & Company is seeking a Head of Marketing/Marketing Director to lead the company’s brand, marketing and event programs.

As the Head of Marketing, you will play a crucial role in creating and leading the overall marketing strategy and implementation for DeVoe & Company. As a leader in RIA Business Consulting and M&A, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual with experience in the wealth management industry to lead our marketing team. As a dynamic leader, you will be responsible for development and execution of a wide variety of brand positioning and lead generation programs and campaigns, two significant nationally recognized industry events, multichannel direct marketing, collateral, market research programs, and additional projects.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and player-coach who will assess and determine strategic priorities and work with a small team to execute and implement a broad range of marketing and event initiatives. The individual will use their analytical skills and creative mind to develop industry-leading thought leadership for the RIA community.

Responsibilities:

·       Strategy: Maintain, execute, oversee an external communications strategy that supports the company’s leading brand in the marketplace as well as the objectives and priorities of the business.

·       Brand Management: Ensure all external programs and materials represent and protect the DeVoe & Company brand and reputation.

·       Integrated Marketing: Oversee all marketing channels including the company website, email marketing programs, digital marketing, webinars, social media, PR, thought leadership, and sales tools.

·       Media Relations / PR: Lead earned media placement by promoting DeVoe & Company capabilities, research and experience to members of the trade media. Serve as point-person to reporters seeking comment or information from the company. Maintain enhance DeVoe brand through a variety of channels and strategies.

·       Written Thought Leadership: Develop the cadence for and manage the company’s thought leadership content, including the company’s quarterly RIA Deal Book, two annual survey / outlook reports, topical whitepapers, and webinars.

·       Video Content Generation: Design, build and manage the company’s strategy of producing video content, podcasts and social media posts.

·       DeVoe & Company Events: Lead the company’s event programs, including two significant industry-leading annual conferences (200-300 attendees each) including budget management and oversight. Support with organization and planning of our annual company offsite event

·       Third-Party Events: Manage the placement of DeVoe & Company executives at key industry events (in-person or virtual). Assess the right opportunities for the company to sponsor or exhibit at key industry events.

·       Sales Support and Enablement: Create and maintain compelling sales enablement collateral and presentations that help represent the company and win business. Collaborate and support field-driven business development campaigns for specific pipeline initiatives. Act as internal consultant to client-facing MDs for all marketing related efforts.

·       Collaborate with Growth MD to Help Advisors Grow : Work with the CEO and the managing director leading DeVoe’s growth consulting activities to craft strategies, provide guidance and even implement growth strategies for some DeVoe clients.

·       Development of Team: Mentor and coach direct reports to build skills and grow team’s strengths and contributions. Establish and measure quarterly and yearly departmental goals.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.

·      15+ years of marketing experience in financial services, consulting, or related industry.

·      Excellent writing skills across formats.

·      Adept at data analysis and presentation of data for storytelling.

·      Highly proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce and various marketing technology platforms and tools.

·      Highly organized with strong attention to details and project management skills.

·      Demonstrated track record and proven abilities across the full marketing mix.

·      Experience leading successful marketing teams, including ability and experience mentoring and developing staff.

·      Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

·      Self-starter with a strong work ethic.

·      Familiarity with the financial advisor business model.

Salary:

$165,000 - $215,000 annually

100% remote work environment. Equipment is provided and a dedicated workspace is required.
