The setting for this role is entirely remote, allowing flexibility for our Licensed Clinical Social Workers to connect with students, staff, and families effectively. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments aimed at identifying students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs.

• Utilize observations, interviews, and various assessment tools to evaluate students' mental health requirements.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions addressing a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and social adjustments.

• Implement evidence-based short-term and ongoing counseling strategies tailored to meet individual student needs.
\n
• Lead group counseling programs targeted at themes such as bullying prevention, stress management techniques, and developing essential social skills.

• Collaborate actively with teachers, school administrators, and families to address behavioral challenges, create individualized interventions, and track student progress.

• Support students through their transition planning and build connections with community resources for additional support.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans when urgent issues arise.

• Organize and facilitate psychoeducation sessions and workshops for students, parents, and staff to promote mental health awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily engage with a diverse student population across various age groups. Your focus will be on understanding their unique emotional, social, and developmental needs. You will address situations that arise from typical developmental challenges, as well as those stemming from trauma or mental health issues. Your empathetic approach will help create a safe space for students to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies that lead to improved educational outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
