Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for the state of Minnesota
- Experience or strong interest in working with middle and high school students
- Previous background in a resource classroom setting is a plus
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff and families
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for student growth
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students on your caseload in a resource setting
- Case manage and maintain accurate records for middle and high school students receiving special education services
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate regularly with parents, general educators, and support staff to ensure student success
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and adapt lessons to meet individualized student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
