Despite being remote, our counselors are engaged in regular team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to patient care. You will have access to state-of-the-art electronic health record systems like AVATAR, enabling efficient documentation and client management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, expertly documenting each client’s history and presenting concerns.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of clients, tailoring interventions to enrich their therapeutic journey.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment cycle, adjusting plans as necessary and providing detailed feedback to clients and, when appropriate, their families.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
\n
• Maintain communication with healthcare providers for clients who may require hospital admissions or further medical interventions.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, fostering an environment of growth and healing.

• Provide support and resources to family members, equipping them to assist loved ones facing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, as well as those coping with trauma and addiction issues. Our clients come from various backgrounds, requiring a tailored approach to care that respects their unique cultural and individual identities. Your role is essential in helping clients not only address their immediate concerns but also promote overall mental wellness and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating strong clinical insight and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.
\n
• A solid understanding of mental health conditions and their treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with co-occurring disorders and substance use issues.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their implications for therapy.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
