Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate students' mental health concerns, focusing on their strengths and challenges.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that are culturally relevant and tailored to the unique needs of each student.

• Provide therapeutic support through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, school nurses, and administrators, to devise comprehensive strategies that address the mental health needs of students.

• Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, providing risk assessments and safety planning to ensure students’ well-being.

• Advocate for students’ rights, connecting them with additional community resources and services to support their recovery and overall success.

• Participate in community outreach programs to enhance mental health awareness within the school and surrounding community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse student population within the school system, addressing a spectrum of mental health challenges. Students may exhibit issues ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral concerns and trauma-related experiences. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
