Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' psychological and emotional states to inform individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

• Develop and implement tailored treatment strategies that address clients’ specific challenges and support their personal growth.
\n
• Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions focusing on effective communication, conflict resolution, and relationship enhancement.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary and ensure immediate therapeutic support for clients in distress.
\n
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
\n
• Engage in regular collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to optimize client care.

• Participate enthusiastically in team meetings, professional development workshops, and case review sessions to improve therapeutic techniques and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve reflect the diverse community in Alameda, encompassing various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and presenting issues. You will utilize culturally competent approaches to ensure that therapeutic practices meet the needs of all individuals, families, and couples you engage with. This role involves working with clients who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and other mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LMFT license in the state of California is required.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families in diverse settings.

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, EFT, and the Gottman Method are essential.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills to foster trust and effectively help clients.

• Previous experience using telehealth technology is highly beneficial, especially in a remote setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While two years of experience is required, candidates with additional specialized training in couples therapy or trauma-informed care will be considered favorably. Experience in community health settings or non-profit organizations is an asset.
