Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth patient assessments to evaluate therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status, leading to the creation of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions based on the specific needs outlined in each patients' care plan, ensuring adherence to all legal and ethical standards of practice.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic devices, fostering independence and self-management skills.
• Regularly monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes in conjunction with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care activities, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal requirements.
• Prioritize and manage caseloads efficiently, assessing daily staffing needs and coordinating assignments or transitions as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will primarily benefit adult and pediatric patients recovering from a range of orthopedic conditions and surgical interventions. You will engage with individuals at various stages of recovery, tailoring your approach to meet the unique challenges presented by each patient's conditions, lifestyle, and personal goals.

Qualifications

• Current, valid license to practice Physical Therapy in California.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• While no previous experience is required, candidates with prior internships or volunteer experience in a healthcare setting will be viewed favorably.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and patient care documentation processes is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
