Work Environment

The work setting for this position is an onsite Rehabilitation Center in Lehigh Acres, Florida, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources to support effective therapy outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from a range of conditions, including injuries, surgeries, and illnesses, directly in our rehabilitation center.
• Establish and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing diverse therapies such as manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities that address pain reduction and mobility enhancement.
• Document treatments, track patient progress, and adjust therapeutic strategies based on outcomes, keeping thorough records for compliance and ongoing care adjustments.
• Collaborate closely with caregivers and healthcare providers to educate them on assistive devices and therapeutic techniques that support patient recovery.
• Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field through continuous education, participation in workshops, and engagement in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic caters to a diverse array of patients, ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations—all dealing with different health challenges, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative rehabilitation. You will develop a nuanced understanding of individual patient needs, tailoring your treatment modalities accordingly to foster optimal recovery pathways.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy is mandatory to practice, along with appropriate certifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in computer applications and electronic health record management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required, with a focus on adult and pediatric therapy.
• Experience with home care settings may be beneficial, but it is not a strict requirement.

Compensation and Benefits
