Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their needs and establish personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Utilize evidence-based methods such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to alleviate pain and restore functional mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment strategies as required to meet the evolving needs of each individual.
• Train patients and their families in therapeutic exercises and the use of assistive devices, ensuring they understand how to continue their recovery at home.
• Engage in regular communication with other healthcare professionals to optimize the interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Happy & Joyful Thoughts, you will work with a varied patient population, primarily adults and children recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. Each therapeutic relationship is built on trust and collaboration, as you guide patients through individualized treatment plans designed to achieve maximized mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.

• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and having basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
