Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by evaluating functional limitations and developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and compliant with state practice acts.

• Perform evaluation services that include the review of patient history, implementation of specific assessments, and documentation of findings for further analysis.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment protocols derived from unique evaluation findings, constantly adapting interventions based on patient progress and changes in their health status.

• Communicate effectively and consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care, document any changes in the patient's condition, and adjust the care plan as necessary.

• Oversee discharge planning and ensure appropriate follow-up care by documenting patient progress, coordinating with other health care providers, and maintaining accurate patient records.

• Stay compliant with all corporate and clinical training mandates, as well as state, local, and federal regulations that affect physical therapy practice.

• Engage in participation and input during facility meetings, and contribute to initiatives aimed at improving access to rehabilitation services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The position focuses primarily on outpatient orthopedic cases, assisting patients dealing with various musculoskeletal conditions. You will provide care to individuals recovering from surgeries, accidents, or chronic conditions requiring physical intervention. Your role will significantly impact their rehabilitation journey, enhancing their recovery through tailored treatment interventions and consistent support.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program is required.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Florida, granted by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant outpatient orthopedic experience is mandatory.

• Current CPR certification is required to ensure readiness in case of emergencies.

Preferred Experience

While we require at least two years of experience, candidates with advanced training in specific therapies, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, or those who have undergone specialized training related to orthopedic rehabilitation will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits
