Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Symbria Rehabilitation Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Developing and directing personalized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring or improving muscle function.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure they implement treatment plans efficiently and effectively.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests related to muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Assessing patients' home environments to make specific recommendations for enhancing their independence.
• Administering prescribed manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, and treatments with physical modalities.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetics and orthotics, making modifications based on patients' ongoing assessments.
• Recording and reporting any changes in the patient's condition, recommending necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and case managers.
• Completing comprehensive clinical documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively discuss and plan holistic patient treatment strategies.
• Educating patients and their families on physical therapy practices, including the proper use of therapeutic devices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele primarily includes individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation support. You will have the privilege of working with diverse populations, ranging from post-operative orthopedic patients to those rehabilitating from neurological disorders. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with advanced clinical skills and knowledge.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license along with reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to foster relationships with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
